Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Sneha Karnavat, the heart behind Ruikala.
My journey began in the world of Human Resources, where I spent a few years working with people, understanding stories, and building meaningful connections. After marriage, life took a beautiful turn—I became a public speaking coach and even started my own academy, helping others find their voice and confidence.
But even amidst fulfilling roles and meaningful work, there was always a quiet nudge within me—a desire to build something of my own. I’ve always had a deep love for a well-put-together home, and a growing passion for conscious, sustainable living. That’s how Ruikala was born: a brand that brings together my admiration for Indian craft, my belief in slow living, and my eye for thoughtful home décor.
As a mom to two wonderful boys, I understand the importance of creating a space that feels soft, safe, and soulful. Ruikala is my way of offering that feeling to others—through pure cotton, handblock-printed linens that are as gentle on the skin as they are on the earth.
Ruikala is not just a business—it’s a piece of my heart, built with love, purpose, and the dream of helping you say:
“It’s so good to be home.”

About Us
At Ruikala, we believe a home isn’t just a place—it’s a feeling.
A feeling of warmth, comfort, and belonging. That’s why every piece we create is designed to bring you closer to that feeling, wherever you are in the world.
Rooted in tradition and inspired by conscious living, Ruikala celebrates the age-old art of handblock printing—an intricate, soulful craft passed down through generations of skilled artisans. We use only pure, breathable cotton, chosen not just for its softness, but for its sustainability and gentleness on the earth.
Every bedsheet, bathrobe, dohar, or table cover we make carries the charm of handmade imperfection, the calm of natural materials, and the richness of Indian craft. Our collections reflect a slow, thoughtful way of living—where comfort meets heritage, and every corner of your home feels like a warm embrace.
Because at Ruikala, we truly believe:
It’s so good to be home!

Celebrating the Art of Handblock Printing
Among the many crafts we cherish at Ruikala, handblock printing holds a special place.
This centuries-old technique involves carving intricate designs onto wooden blocks, dipping them into natural dyes, and pressing them by hand onto fabric—layer by layer, color by color. Each piece carries the rhythm of the artisan’s hand and the charm of subtle variation.
It’s slow, soulful work—and that’s what makes it so special.
While we embrace a variety of textile techniques and aesthetics, our handblock-printed pieces are a tribute to India’s rich craft heritage. They bring depth, character, and a quiet elegance to everyday living.
Because when something is made by hand, it speaks not just to the eye, but to the heart.
